The recreation team focuses on exercise and movement that will help them improve their climbing while minimizing injury. Our team coaches choose warmup workouts that are suited for the age group that not only promote physical health but are also relatable to the movements used on the wall. We will not follow the traditional climbing schedule set by USA Climbing where they separate bouldering and rope climbing by season. We will be incorporating both bouldering and climbing throughout the fall season.

Though this is a recreational climbing team, we will still be asking each team member for full participation during each practice as we find it helps motivate the entire team as a whole if everyone is participating in the workouts, warmups, and climbing routines set out by the coaches.
